Council basics first
Clean streets, working gullies, repaired roads and reliable collections should be normal, not something residents have to keep chasing.
The choice for Liverpool
Liverpool Labour currently controls Liverpool City Council. We believe our city deserves a practical alternative that listens, gets the basics right and treats public money with care.
Our starting point
Our case for change is not opposition for the sake of it. We will support good ideas wherever they come from, challenge Liverpool Labour when we believe the council is getting something wrong and always offer a practical alternative.
Team Brookes-Lennon is part of a citywide Liberal Democrat campaign to earn trust ward by ward and change how Liverpool City Council is run.
What we would do differently
These are the standards Team Brookes-Lennon and Liverpool Liberal Democrats would bring to the council.
Clean streets, working gullies, repaired roads and reliable collections should be normal, not something residents have to keep chasing.
Residents deserve proper consultation, clear information and a council that welcomes scrutiny and answers questions clearly.
Decisions should begin with the people who live locally and understand how services, streets and public spaces work in practice.
New homes must come with the GP appointments, dental care, transport and community facilities that growing neighbourhoods need.
Better crossings, action on dangerous parking and safe places for young people are practical investments in stronger communities.
Public money must be treated with care while Liverpool attracts the jobs, businesses and investment needed for a confident future.

Change starts locally
David leads our work in West Derby Leyfield. Phil leads in Sandfield Park. We help each other across both wards because local problems do not stop at a boundary line.
